An apt word this week.
5 concurrent major school projects – 4 “fruition” projects coming to the end of the term and one weekly paper –
plus studying for the certification exam that I’m sitting for on the 29th. And there’s that thing that I do during the day involving arithmetic and fancy acronyms that primarily mean “good little bean counter”
Add to that the fact that it was standardized testing here this week – which is uniquely temporal for parents, students and teachers.
And Monday’s situation in Boston that had me wishing that Daniel Silva’s Gabriel Allon were real – not that there are people who work in intelligence agencies and covert operations and shut things like that down – but that the green eyed art-restorer & vengeful angel himself were really real.
Usually it goes the other way. I read fiction and see how it applies to the world or how it’s a metaphor for something else … (anyone else see that piece by Inc. magazine not long ago about the best non-management books one can/has/should/ought read? That happens in my mind a lot *sigh*)
Some of the ways that jump points back across the past week aren’t really “here” kinds of things to say – we jump to conclusions, we jump to action, we jump to, too, two, … and that’s Five. (pics added from my WordPress media stuff after I finished writing)
