A resource for fellow parents of C.P.A. program kids

Heaven be PRAISED! Finally there’s an ‘expert’ out there willing to toe the “it’s not an emergency!” line on gifted kids … as a survivor of a public school gifted program; I’ve been saying that for years …
but if you want to read it from someone who is actually articulate … try this:
http://davincilearning.wordpress.com/2010/08/03/oh-no-my-kid-might-be-gifted-where-do-i-start/

And when you’re done with that – check out Nurture Shock by Merriman & Bronson and then Raisin Brains by Isaacson … and if you’re still not unclenched, go read Momzillas and Wolves in Chic Clothing and 24 Karat Kids … and keep reading until you’re laughing … at and with yourself 🙂 ❤

  1. Thank you for your kind words! We can look thoughtfully and carefully at individual situations without either making everything into an emergency or denying the validity of people’s concerns. And there is a lot that people can do to build their own skills and connections.
